As a raw material for candle manufacturing, Fischer-Tropsch wax offers the following significant advantages, which can enhance candle performance and manufacturing efficiency:
1. High melting point and thermal stability
Wide melting point range (60–120°C): Fischer-Tropsch wax with different melting points can be selected according to requirements, suitable for making candles used in high-temperature environments (such as outdoor candles), reducing the risk of deformation or melting.
High-temperature stability: It is not easy to drip during combustion, reducing the risk of fire, especially suitable for pillar candles with containerless design.
2. Excellent combustion performance
Smokeless and odorless: The fully hydrogenated hydrocarbon structure ensures clean combustion, suitable for environments sensitive to odors (such as aromatic candle substrates).
Long burning time: The high carbon number molecular structure (C20–C60) makes the burning rate 10–20% slower than that of paraffin wax, prolonging the service life.High brightness: The flame is bright during combustion, with luminous flux superior to soy wax and close to traditional paraffin wax.
3. Material compatibility and processing advantages
Low viscosity (molten state): Easy to mix with dyes and fragrances, with dispersion uniformity 30% higher than paraffin wax, avoiding color difference or uneven aroma.
Low shrinkage rate (<5%): Not easy to crack during demolding, resulting in smooth finished product surface and reduced subsequent polishing costs.
High hardness (penetration <1 mm): Supports complex mold shapes (such as embossed candles) and resists scratches during transportation.
